A symbol of eternal life in ancient Egypt, the scarab becomes oh-so-stylish here, in a stunning vintage design by famed costume jeweler Miriam Haskell.  Faux coral, lapis, carnelian, and turquoise adorn the intricately hand-wired brooch, and a real turquoise decorates the beetle's body, a modern replacement for the original missing gem.  Not to be outdone, we simple added the brooch to strands of matte-finished and faceted onyx beads, creating a bold arrangement just as at home with jeans and a blouse as during cocktail hour in your favorite LBD.  Eternally elegant, we think.  Measures 20.5" in length with a gilt copper hook clasp at back.
